Sandy Allen, third grade teacher at Oark School, has been awarded the Parsons-Burnett Scholarship Grant in the amount of $2,000 — a competitive and well-deserved honor! This scholarship is funded by memorials and generous donations from members of the Arkansas Retired Teachers Association, dedicated champions of life-long learning and public education. Allen's success reflects a continued commitment to furthering her education in service of Arkansas’s public school children. The presentation was made by Randy Laverty.
