As life goes by

Posted

Wow! What a week will do to the trees and flowers! It is such a pleasure to drive down the road with redbud trees filling in the spaces. There are places where the redbuds look like someone planted them along the roadway. Then when you least expect it, the service trees pop up to fill in the background with just the right amount of blossoms. The dogwood trees will be showing out in a week or so. Having rain along with storms seems to help get the trees in bloom. Just to drive through the hills for a drive is worth the time. The jonquils and tulips are joining the trees to make spring feel just right. Having patience with planting helps make gardens start off without having to plant twice.
Sports seem to be a way of life for many. Baseball and softball have started up since basketball is almost over. I have enjoyed the basketball games the Razorbacks have played. It was disappointing we didn’t get any further in the tournament, but I felt we played some good games.

I have gotten back into my “running around” again. It is amazing how much you miss when you get sick. It is hard to catch up in some cases. I was so happy to get back to church, Bible study, singing in the choir and just being around friends again. I must admit I haven’t had the energy I usually have but it will build up again. I even missed my bookclub the other day because I had a doctor’s appointment and couldn’t make it in time to get there. Looking forward to next month’s meeting.
