Hello again family and friends in and from Newton County.
I hope all of you have a safe and happy 4th of July. Carolyn (Cowell) Lindberg and husband Gene visited us on Tuesday from Pueblo, Colorado. They were going to the Pig Roast at Deer. I know Carolyn will enjoy seeing her relatives. We are getting old and our family is becoming smaller! It is neat that Vernie Heydenrich continues the pig roast. We went a couple of times and had a nice visit plus super good food. Carolyn & Gene had reservations for two nights at Cliff House cabins. They spent a couple of nights with Gene's daughter, Sherry, in Joplin, Missouri. They were also going to Clarksville to visit Fred Cowell family.
Our neighbors went to Branson, Missouri, for a couple of days.m It has really been quiet here. They took their dog to board at the vet. We kept an eye on the chickens.
Today is Seth's 82nd birthday. We have been married 43 years. The years sure do fly by don't they? You can never recapture one moment of time. I, for one, sure wasted a lot of years. It took me 50 years to grow up!
We haven't seen any of our grandchildren. They have all called for Seth's special day. We are finally getting settled in our new home. Seth fell, after a trip to the E.R. He spent three days in the hospital and five days in rehab, then came home with Hospice. He is doing well and has gained some strength. Hospice has been a great help to us.
Our friends, T. J. And Garry, visited us one day. They live in Joplin, Missouri. We have missed them a lot.
Until next time, God bless and, "Happy trails to you."
