Gospel/bluegrass coming to senior center

On Friday, May 16, beginning at 6 p.m., bluegrass and gospel music will be performed in the parking lot at the Newton County Senior Activity and Wellness Center in Jasper. The musicians and singers of the Marble Falls Full Gospel Church are Melinda and Dennis Smith and Keith and Niki Riffle.
Food will be available. Bring a lawn chair.
Meals at the center are served Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. A $4 donation is appreciated from clients. No age limit and carry-outs cost $8.60 per meal. All meals include 8 ounces of 2% milk.

Wednesday - Lasagna, Italian vegetables, breadstick and ice cream.

Thursday - Pineapple chicken, fried rice, stir fry vegetable bland, vegetable egg roll and German chocolate cake.
Friday - Sliced baked ham, macaroni and cheese, greens, biscuit and blondie brownie.
Monday - Cheese enchilada, fiesta rice, Pico de Gallo, strawberries with topping.
Tuesday - Chopped steak and mushroom gravy, mashed potato casserole, multi-color cauliflower, roll and marbled cheesecake.
Wednesday - Breaded fish, French fries, marinated vegetable salad, dinner roll and pound cake.
