The Jasper Newton County Kiwanis 5K Elk Run/Walk is June 28 at 7 a.m. The annual Running with the Elk is a fundraiser for the club's scholarship program. Starting point is at the Lost Valley Canoe and Rental in downtown Ponca, and follows state Highway 43 toward Lost Valley. There is lots if beautiful scenery to be seen along the way.
