Little Rock VA Regional Office welcomes new executive director

NORTH LITTLE ROCK — The Little Rock VA Regional Office introduced Mr. Patrick J. Zondervan as Executive Director during an installation ceremony on November 7, 2024. Mr. Zondervan was appointed Executive Director of the Little Rock VA Regional Office in May 2024. As the Executive Director, Zondervan is responsible for providing executive oversight and leadership to 275 employees and for providing a full range of benefits and services to approximately 200,000 Veterans and their families in the 75 counties of the state of Arkansas.
“I appreciate the warm welcome from the local VA staff, veterans and the community of Little Rock,” said Zondervan. “During fiscal year 2024, VA staff helped deliver a record number of earned benefits to more Veterans, and I look forward to continuing this success in fiscal year 2025.”

Over 64,000 Arkansas Veterans received compensation and 2,140 received pension benefits this year, representing an estimated $1.7 billion and $31.6 million in earned benefits, respectively. Additionally, VA processed 29,122 disability benefit claims for Arkansas Veterans, with an overall grant rate of 61%.
Prior to this appointment, Zondervan was assistant director at the Atlanta VA Regional Office and led a staff of 825 employees and administered federal benefits to over 744,000 Veterans and their families living in Georgia. Zondervan also served as acting director at various VA Regional Offices to include San Diego; Honolulu; Boston; Atlanta; and Huntington, W.V.
