On Dec. 29, the Arkansas Public Service Commission (APSC) issued rules to clarify the provisions of Act 945, also known as the Arkansas Wind Energy Development Act. Arkansas energy companies requested clarity, finding the wording potentially restrictive. During a Dec. 11th hearing before the APSC, Act 945 advocate and the bill’s co-author, George Caudle, argued for the bill as written. more

LITTLE ROCK – The Legislative Joint Auditing Committee met to discuss findings from its latest audit concerning the University of Arkansas. Three findings were discussed, all originally discovered by U of A auditing teams and reported to state auditors. The vast majority of the meeting was spent discussing fraudulent attempts by 39 students to enroll in classes for the fall semester at one school. more
