"Newton County Animal Welfare needs individuals interested in being a volunteer and/or foster, said Darlene Cullen, organization director. A recruitment/training event is scheduled for March 15 from 10 a.m.-12 p.m., at the Newton County Library. If unable to attend, a volunteer application can be filled out online at newtoncountyanimalwelfare.org.
"Help would be greatly appreciated," Cullen said.
