As life goes by

Posted

Last night I noticed the sky was turning dark and looked like it would drop rain at any time. Sure enough, the rain started like a rain storm! The wind was blowing hard and the rain was coming down hard. The announcer said it was winds at least 50 miles an hour! I was sitting in the sun room and I wondered if it was going to blow away. The rain was blowing in sheets and lasted almost an hour! Today another rain storm came by, but it was not as bad. It was headed toward Carroll and Boone County.
As we go through the spring to summer changes, we will have wild weather at times.
I played bridge on Tuesday. I thought I was going to have the low score, but someone had 50 points less. Jackie didn’t play because her daughter, Lynn had driven up from Dallas area to visit. She brought some of her tomatoes that she had grown.
On Wednesday, I went to my book club meeting. We discussed the book, “All the Colors of the Dark.”
My hairdresser moved from Bentonville to Cave Springs since she had gotten married. She told me she had grown up there. Her mother lives a couple of streets behind her and her brother lives near.
Friday I ate out with my friends who are in my lunch bunch group. We ate at Chicken Salad Chick in Fayetteville. Then on Sunday, I ate at Olive Garden in Rogers with my friends, Roxie, Jim and Carol. I go out with them each Sunday after church and Bible Study. My daughter, Rachael, waits tables there during the summer. She is a chef at a sorority house at the UofA during the school year. It was good to see her.
After the AFV show on TV was over a show came on that I haven't seen in years. It was “Homeward Bound: The Incredible Journey.” It was so good!
Hope you are getting vegetables growing in your garden. All this rain and now hot sunshine should be helping your garden grow.
Stay healthy.
