Easter Bake Sale order deadline April 9

Wednesday, April 9, is the Easter Bake Sale order deadline The Newton County Senior Activity and Wellness Center is taking pre-orders for the holiday. Bake sale items include: Homemade carrot cake, $12; coconut cream pie, $16; cinnamon rolls, $10 per dozen and oatmeal cranberry walnut cookies, $10 per dozen.
Pickup at the center in Jasper is Friday, April 11.
Meals at the center are served Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. A $4 donation is appreciated from clients. No age limit and carry-outs cost $8.60 per meal. All meals include 8 ounces of 2% milk.

Wednesday - Pot roast, mashed potatoes, carrots and celery, wheat roll and strawberry angel cake.

Thursday - Fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, buttered corn, roll and chilled pudding.
Friday - Baked cubed steak and gravy, baked potato, baby lima beans, cornbread and fruited gelatin.
Monday - Reuben sandwich, onion rings, broccoli salad and grapes.
Tuesday - Kielbasa, potato pancakes, beets medley, wheat roll and fruit salad.
Wednesday - Pineapple chicken, fried rice, stir fried vegetable blend, vegetable egg roll and German chocolate cake.
