The Newton County Senior Center will be open during the annual Buffalo River Elk Festival June 27-28. It is a nice place to cool off in between festival events.
The center serves lunch Monday through Friday at 11:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. Those who are 60 and over can dine in at the center for a $4 donation. Under 60, dine for $8.60. Cary out meals for everyone is $8.60. All meals include 8 ounces of 2% milk.
