In this time when money is tight, it is heartening to see how Newton County folks are stepping up to help others. For example, the Deer School has a pantry, and every week I've noticed that there is food of all kinds donated. I know that local churches and neighbors are donating. Boston Mountain Clinic at Deer has a table with food for folks to take if they need it. And I've been shopping at Harps and have seen folks donate a Thanksgiving turkey to the Christian Food Room. Here's a thank you to all who are stepping up and helping their neighbors.
