The next Newton County Senior Activity and Wellness Center Fish Fry will be Friday, Aug. 1, from 2-6 p.m., at the center in Jasper. The cost is $11. Available are hand breaded fried fish or chicken strips with the fixings. Additional fish is now $2 a piece or 10 for $15.
The center serves lunch Monday through Friday at 11:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. Those who are 60 and over can dine in at the center for a $4 donation. Under 60, dine for $8.60. Carry out meals for everyone is $8.60. All meals include 8 ounces of 2% milk.
