EPC blows by Marshall in fourth

HOT SPRINGS — For the second straight year Marshall was in good position to take home a state championship, but again endured a heartbreaking ending.
Up six points heading into the final frame, East Poinsett County (22-11) grinded as it has all season against the odds and outscored Marshall 21-8 in the fourth quarter to win 68-61 and claim the program's first state title since 2012.
The Warriors led for essentially all of the first half by a slim margin, but an impressive third quarter by the Bobcats (28-9) gave them the momentum before EPC snatched it back.
