Nelson J. Honeycutt, 39, of Cozahome, was killed in a two-vehicle crash reported by the Arkansas State Police. The crash happened at 11:50 a.m. in Marion County, Tuesday, Jan. 2, on US 62-412, just east of Yellville.
Frederick J. Ridge, 67, of Malvern was reportedly injured, and was taken to Cox South in Springfield, Missouri.
Honeycutt was the operator of a 2013 Hyundai Sonata traveling east in the eastbound lane. He was apparently negotiating a curve when the car crossed the center dividing line and struck the front of a 2004 Ford F-150 pickup truck operated by Ridge.
The area of impact was in the westbound lane, according to the report filed by Trooper Robert M. Sanford. The report noted the weather condition was clear and the road condition was dry.
Honeycutt's body was being held at Roller Burns Funeral Home in Yellville.
