This month's fish fry at the Newton County Senior Activity and Wellness Center in Jasper is this Friday, April, 5, from 2-5 p.m. Drive through or dine in. Your choice of either hand breaded fried fish or chicken strips, coleslaw, pinto beans, hushpuppies, pickled green tomatoes and peach crisp. Add fries for $2, or, for $5 get two pieces of fish with fries. Additional fish is now $2 a piece or 10 for $15. Proceeds benefit the senior center.

Monday, April 8, from 2-5 p.m., stop by the center for a chili dog and Bingo.
Meals at the center are served Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. The suggested donation for members is $4. No age limit and carry outs cost $6.60.

Wednesday - Homestyle ham and beans, mixed greens, cornbread and hot spiced peaches.
Thursday - Herbed pork roast, pork gravy, sweet potato, broccoli florets, wheat roll and applesauce.
Friday - Tuna salad sandwich, potato chips, garden pea salad and fruit salad.
Monday - Oven fried chicken, baked potato, seasoned corn, biscuit and chilled pudding.
Tuesday - Hamburger steak, mashed potatoes, wilted cabbage, wheat roll and apple crisp.
Wednesday - Sweet and sour pork, rice pilaf, Brussel sprouts, wheat roll and spiced apples.
