A new farmers market has been established in Ponca. Many of the vendors originally began with the Jasper Farmers Market, but now gather at across from the Lost Valley Canoe and Lodging on state Highway 43. They are there on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The market features primarily locally grown food including produce, baked goods, and other agriculture products. About 10 vendors currently participate, according to Dian Avriett, one of the original market organizers.
