Kingston girls pull in at No. 4

QUITMAN — The Kingston girls continued to be among the elite in Class 1A track.
On Monday in the Class 1A State Track Meet, the Lady Yellow Jackets finished fourth in the event held at Quitman.
Ozark Catholic ran away in the title. They finished with 115 points. Mineral Springs was second with 73 points. Thaden finished third by posting 72 points and Founders Classical was fifth with 47.
Omaha's Lady Eagles were 13th with 15 points and Lead Hill was 26th with four points.
Kingston scored 16 times in the state meet. Four placements came in the relay events.
In the 4X100, the Lady Yellow Jackets were fourth in 53.89. They placed second in the 4X200 in 1:53.62; third in 4X400, 4:45.48; and third in 4X800, 4:28.09.
Emma Kivell finished in the top eight in three events. She was fourth in the 3200 Meter, 13:37.88; fifth in 800 Meter, 2:48.73; and sixth in 1600 Meter, 6:14.69.
Lila Hartness also placed in three events. She was fourth in the Triple Jump with a leap of 30-09.75. She was eighth in the 100 and 300 Hurdles. She finished them in 19.14 and 56.33 respectively.
Camber Shrum placed twice. She was third in the Long Jump at 14:08.25 and fifth in the Triple Jump, 30-07.75.
Kylie Weaver was sixth in the 300 Hurdles in 55.60.
LeeLou was seventh in the 3200 Meter in 14:22.21.
Jaydyn Middleton was sixth in the 100 Meter with a time of 13.57 and Hope Cooper was eighth in the 400 Meter in a time of 1:10.65.
Lead Hill had one athlete to place. Khloe Pena was fifth in the Pole Vault with a jump of 6-06.00.
Omaha placed in two relays. In the 4X400 the Lady Eagles were seventh in 5:15.81. In the 4X800 Relay they were fourth in 11:49.20.
Remington Crouch placed in two events. She was fourth in the 200 Meter in 28.73 and seventh in the High Jump with a leap of 4-06.00.
Maddie Pyshny was eighth in the Pole Vault at 6-00.00.

Senior Boys
Omaha, Kingston and Lead Hill all scored points in the boys meet.
Omaha finished sixth in the team race with 34 points. Kingston was 12th with 17 points and Lead Hill was 24th with five points.
The championship was a tight race. Founders Classical won with 93 points just two points ahead of Marked Tree and Ozark Catholic. Strong-Huttig was fourth with 63 points and Mineral Springs was fifth with 55.
Omaha won two events. One of those events was the 4X400. The Eagles finished the race in 3:45.30.
The Eagles were fifth in the 4X200 Relay in 1:37.92 and eighth in the 4X100 in 47.55.
Trey Searle won the Triple Jump. He had a leap of 42-09.00. He was fifth in the Long Jump with a leap of 18-10.25.
Jonathan McKinney rounded out the scoring with a seventh place finish in the 300 Hurdles. He finished in 46.57.
Kingston's Chism Floyd won a state title in the 300 Hurdles. He finished in 44.14.
Mason Guinnip was sixth in the Shot Put. He threw it 40-10.00.
In the 4X400 Relay, the Yellow Jackets were eighth. They finished in 3:51.47.
The Yellow Jacket 4X800 relay was sixth in 9:42.86.
Lead Hill's Coda Lemon placed twice. He was fifth in the 400 Meter with 55.18 and he was eighth in the 200 Meter with a time of 25.03.
