Sports column: Numbers point to Kansas City Chiefs winning SB

Posted

Oh my goodness (stated in my best Valley Girl voice from 20 years ago), the Chiefs are so going to win the big game.
If you asked most Taylor Swift fans, they will know that it is the big game. They may not know what the name of the big game is, but Taylor’s boyfriend is playing and it means a lot to Taylor so it means a lot to the Swiftees. I am not really sure how to spell Swifties or Swiftys.
But the cult following of the recording artist has figured out the Chiefs are going to win.
You have to start with Taylor’s favorite number. That number is 13.
Yes, No. 13.
• Taylor has been to 12 Kansas City Chiefs football games this year. The Super Bowl will make No. 13.
• The date for the big game is February 11. When you right it numerically it is 2.11. 2+11 equals 13!!
• While we are doing math, the Chiefs are playing the 49ers. 4+9 equals….13.
Are you getting a tingly feeling yet?
There is more.
• Poor Taylor has a huge concert in Tokyo on Saturday night. That is Tokyo Japan. She will jump on a airplane as soon as the concert is over and fly to Las Vegas. The Super Bowl is in Vegas. Guess how long that flight is. I hope you guessed 13. Because according to the Swiftees it is 13 hours.
But wait there is more.
• Let’s do math again. It is Super Bowl LVIII. For those that don’t know Roman numbers, that is 58. 5+8 equals 13!!
Oh my goodness.
But wait, there is one more.
• San Francisco is a No. 1 seed. Kansas City is a No. 3 seed. Do I need to spell that one out?
There are all kinds of ways that people predict the Super Bowl. We have elephants picking. We have the moon signs that will select the winner. There are so many ways to predict a winner.
I am predicting one way that the game will be decided. It will be decided on the field by the players and the plays that the coaches have designed for this occasion.
However, I sure hope the Swifties, Swiftys or Swiftees are right. I hope it is the Chiefs. I will be at home with my Mazzio Pizza watching my favorite team win.
